De Wouxun KG-D828 is een Dual Band DMR portofoon zonder toetsenbord en heeft een frequentiebereik van 144-148MHZ – 430-450MHz en FM(RX) 65-108MHz. De Wouxun KG D828 kan zowel analoog als digitaal worden gebruikt en heeft een zendvermogen dat instelbaar is op de UHF band hoog (4W) en laag (1W) en de VHF band Hoog (5W) en laag (1W). Deze portofoon heeft een kenwood 2 pins headset aansluiting voor bijvoorbeeld en speaker-microfoon of een security headset. De Wouxun KG-D828 is volledig programmeerbaar met de optionele software en kabel.
